Summary/Objective
Five Stones Research Corporation (5SRC) is seeking energetic candidates to join our established and growing Huntsville-headquartered family.

Essential Functions

• Provides network engineering support for mission-critical applications and network management services for wide area network, and local area network environments
• Responsible for the maintenance of high-quality network services while supporting the implementation of new systems and infrastructure upgrades in a dynamic environment
• Provides hands-on technical support for WAN, LAN, proxy, and security devices
• Interfaces with key customer contacts, project managers, support personnel, and other stakeholders
• Directly executes network services projects and operations activities
• Works with both test center and customer leadership to implement and sustain enterprise-wide network solutions/capabilities/enhancements to support customer business/mission goals and objectives
• Performs implementation and sustainment of system specifications, integration, testing, and documentation
• Ensures the reporting, documentation, and investigation of all related incidents
• Ensures compliance with Service Performance Indicators (SPI) and Quality Assurance (QA)
• Implements risk management and mitigation strategies; conducts risk assessments and provides recommendations for risk mitigation
• Manages WAN, LAN, CAN and remote network support as well as incident and problem management
• Manages network infrastructure sustainment, maintenance, and advanced configurations

Required Education and Experience

• Must meet one of the following at a minimum: a) bachelor’s degree in an IT related field and two (2) years, or b) seven (7) years related work experience.
• Experience managing Local, Campus, or Wide Area Network (LAN/CAN/WAN) enterprise grade devices such as switches & routers.
• Understanding of network security architectures and concepts such as Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN), firewall configurations, network tunnelling, & port secuirty.
• Demonstrated skill in monitoring and troubleshooting network traffic and network availability using enterprise tools preferred.
• Must meet baseline certification requirements in accordance with DoD 8570 IAT-II category or higher.
